Rice Bag

When I cut out my blue dress I happened to have a couple pieces of scrap that, with a tiny bit of clean up, made good sized rectangles. The lovely softness off the fabric made them perfect for rice bags. So with a few quick runs through the machine I had a nice pouch that I filled with rice.

It was pretty awesome timing as I came down with a sinus infection the next week. So the rice bag got quite a bit of practice. I love these because I can toss it in the fridge and it will hold the cool for a bit or I can microwave it for 20-30 seconds and it radiates heat. It’s fantastic for headaches or congestion.

I wish I’d had my oils on hand because I would have added a few drops of peppermint to be even more effective but it’s still pretty helpful as it is.
