Show Off Stranded Socks

I really wasn’t sure what to do with this yarn when I pulled it out of the stash. I didn’t have a plan when I bought it and I certainly didn’t have a plan when it appeared in my hand. The color repeats were short and I felt any busy patterning would be lost in it. Worse, I couldn’t find any examples of the yarn knit up in this colorway to compare. I stumbled across this pattern in my searching.

I’m thrilled with how the pattern and the yarn play so well together. I feel like the pattern stands out but the colors also sing and get to have an equal part of the spotlight.

I love the moss stitch gussett and the stretchiness of the pattern. I went down a size and it fits perfectly. The pattern repeat was incredibly easy to memorize and that made the socks very fast to knit. And doing them two at a time meant I didn’t have to try and keep track of how many repeats I did for the second sock.
