So much frustration this week. This is row 20. I’ve been to row 35 3 times. I made it as far as row 39 before ripping it all out and starting over. I know this will be gorgeous when done but right now the pattern is a giant headache and driving me crazy. I’m currently knitting a row, tinking back a time or two, and counting obsessively, often getting different numbers. I had markers in to note the repeats but once you start increasing for the next section they’re more in the way since you YO at the marker and then increase into that several times on the way back … some stitches on one side of the marker, the rest on the other side and I couldn’t figure out where they divided.
No quilting but there’s been quite a bit of clothing done for Miss Kid. She now has 2 new sets of garb. Meanwhile my dress is in poor shape and really needs replacing. Hopefully, now that I have a job, I’ll be able to start buying fabric for the projects I have planned. Currently I have no quilt block in the works.
I need more hours in a day. The story is there, for the moment, it’s just a matter of putting fingers to keys … and not having 50 other directions I’m being pulled.
The Tales of Tanglewood: The Lon Dubh Whistle by Scott Michael Kessman. This has been a fairly quick read, and one that I suspect a lot of children, boys and girls, would enjoy. Colin has the blood of the fey and after his own shortsightedness gets the better of him he begins a quest. Fairly basic but I have liked the way it’s been written about.
