WIP Wednesday: Basic Socks

Knitting:
These basic socks were perfect to have on hand yesterday as we went to a Christmas party of close friends, family really. With the yarn doing all the work for me I was free to knit around and around while chatting with friends. Of course today I’ll be setting them aside for a bit as I have one more gift that was promised and I need to figure out a pattern for that and then I have a commission of a different pair of socks. It’s good to have mindless knitting waiting for you though. I think these are ready for the heels so I may work on them until the heels are done and I’m back to basic knitting again.

Writing:
I think I’m going to start the new year with a new story, kinda. The story is written but it needs edits. I feel stalled on the other things I’ve been working on so perhaps it’s time to set them aside for a break.

Reading:

Palimpsest by Catheryn M. Valente. It’s a reread but then I have both of the novels following it and they’ll be new for me. I just picked this book up today so I’ve only read the first chapter but I’m very much looking forward to returning to this world and seeing how a book title in this world is expanded upon in the following novels.
