Fey Led – Yeah … no. I’ve not had time to do much other than knit.
So, my husband has been concerned about the whole not sleeping thing. My friends on Sunday asked “Just how many projects do you have going at one time?” And I think my answer explains why I’ve not been sleeping much, there’s just too much to do!
Balmoral Bonnet: It’s been drying from the felting (first time ever felting!) Now I need to cut it (eep!) and sew on ribbons.
Fire and Ice Gloves: On the second one, the easier one. I find the right twists to be easier to do than the left twists, so I left it for second.
Thorny: A cowl for giving, thankfully we’re not exchanging until the 1st. Also, I’ll be doing a few mods to make it shorter and to have buttons. I’m very glad the pattern is only 6 stitches so I could work on that while out shopping this weekend.
And Basic Socks: Just for me, when I can’t take time to look at a pattern, like when out shopping or chatting with friends. I only had one skein of the sock yarn so I added a bit of overdyed yarn I had on hand for toes and I’m knitting from the same ball of yarn. The stripping is interesting and it’ll be fun to see how it comes out.
Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafizi. Yeah … the book when on a walkabout for a few days and I couldn’t read. I think that if I don’t finish it by the new year then I’ll drop it for now. It’s not a bad book, it’s just not grabbing me. I do want to read it at some point, perhaps when I’m less busy and can spend a bit more time just sitting and reading it. I liked it in Austin when I could sit and read for a while.
