WIP Wednesday: Planning Ahead

Writing:
Fey Led – Continued Edits
NaNoWriMo 2012 – I got permission to quit, had a small burst of inspiration – about 2k words, and then … nothing. I hate the story, tried several times to make it into something I like. No Go. Some ideas are just like that. So, I managed 20,895 words, and that’s okay. After the holidays I can set aside more time for writing and get back into it with a story that I can love.

Knitting:
Slight bump in the road here as well. I finished the first of this pair in only a couple days so gladly jumped on the next one. Was zooming along last night at gaming and happened to look down.

Hmm .. something doesn’t look right.

Instead of stripes across the top of the foot I’m getting a bit spot. If it were for me I’d more than likely shrug and go on. But I’m waiting to hear back from the customer to see if she wants me to rip back and try starting at a different spot in the yarn. Meanwhile, I have another pair of socks to start on.

Reading:

Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. Still a lovely book, just not enough time in the day.

  1. pretty socks. I had the same problem with a pair of socks not too long ago and ended up breaking the yarn 3 times I think to avoid the pooling. good luck!
